CollabCart Case Study
Project Overview:
Brand development and UX/UI design for CollabCart, a start-up in the online retail industry. CollabCart’s platform enables product sellers to collaborate with other sellers of complementary products and allows influencers to select and promote these products on their platforms.
My Role:
Brand, UX, and UI Designer, responsible for establishing brand identity, redesigning wireframes, and enhancing the overall user experience and interface.
Problem Statement:
As a new start-up, CollabCart lacked a cohesive brand identity and user-friendly interface, making it difficult for users to engage with the platform. Existing wireframes were poorly structured, with confusing navigation and minimal alignment with brand goals, causing friction in the user journey. The challenge was to create a strong brand presence, streamline user experience, and provide a modern, intuitive design that would support CollabCart’s unique collaborative approach in the online retail space.
Process:
1. Brand Development: Defined the brand identity from scratch, including logo design, color palette, typography, and visual elements to reflect CollabCart’s innovative, collaborative nature.
2. User Research: Conducted research on the target market, analyzing competitor platforms and gathering insights on the needs of product sellers and influencers in the retail industry.
3. Wireframing: Redesigned the initial wireframes to improve structure and flow, aligning them with the new brand identity and ensuring that the user journey was intuitive and goal-oriented.
4. Design Systems: Created a cohesive design system with a focus on branding elements, ensuring consistency across all components, from typography to button styles and forms.
5. Prototyping: Built high-fidelity prototypes that showcased the revamped user journey, with a clean, visually engaging interface tailored to different user types.
6. User Testing: Gathered feedback from potential users to validate the redesign, focusing on usability, navigation ease, and visual appeal.
Results:
The CollabCart platform was transformed into a visually cohesive and engaging experience that resonated with both product sellers and influencers. Positive feedback from users highlighted the clear, structured navigation and the modern, professional branding. CollabCart now stands out with a brand presence that is strong and distinct.
